An annual event organised jointly between St Werburgh's School and St Werburgh's Church open to everyone.
This year, we are moving away from cash and using paper tokens and card/phone payments instead. Each token will have a value of 50p and can be bought in advance by parents with pupils at the school or purchased at the ticket booth during the event.
What to expect
- Lion Learners will be bringing a range of animals from around the world for children and adults to meet and handle. These might include snakes, lizards, tortoises, rabbits, guinea pigs, pygmy hedgehog, rats, giant millipedes, tarantula, scorpion, giant snails and bugs.
- Throw wet sponges at some of the staff in the stocks or take part in a penalty shoot out!
- Inflatable slide, Live music, hula hooping workshops and balloon modelling.
- Games stalls including our brand-new coconut shy and favourites such as Hook a Duck, Sweet Tombola, Spin to Win a bottle, Welly Wanging, plus many more.
- Refreshments including a bar, hot drinks, BBQ, hot dogs, samosas, Pat-a-cake, candyfloss, ice cream and home produce.
- Demonstrations in our ‘arena’ on the field from Hoopanatural, Rosie Lea dance, Born to Perform Academy, Mantis Body & Mind Martial Arts.
- Clarks Shoes will be there doing some face painting, measuring feet and sharing social stories.
-The Community Care Hub will be there to introduce themselves at their stall.
-Raffle draw -the first prize is £50, second prize a family circus ticket and there are other fantastic prizes donated by parents and local businesses too!
