Spondon Neighbourhood Board identified last year its Highways and Transport priorities for 2012/13. The Board wanted to improve the footways that are regularly used in the village centre.
This work this will compliment the new Sitwell Street road surface installed last year and respond to requests to make the footways safer and easier to use for shoppers and residents.
The work to resurface each side of Sitwell Street footway from Moor Street to The Library is programmed to begin in February 2013. Designs have started to be drawn up with support from Spondon Board, Spondon Traders Association and Spondon Village Improvement Committee.
