Keep Halloween safe and happy for all

It's Halloween season once again - the time of year that children love. To keep things safe and happy for all, Spondon Neighbourhood Board  have issued the following advice and reminders as we get close to the event.

Please respect the rights of those who don’t want to take part and not to commit criminal damage, such
as throwing eggs or flour.

Parents should take responsibility for their children's behaviour - know where they are at all times, and follow a few points:

  • Only trick or treat in your own neighbourhood unless you're with an adult
  • Let adults know who you are going with and when you will be home
  • Look out for 'no callers please' posters and respect your neighbours
  • If you are prepared to receive the local monsters, switch on your outside light and remove any trip hazards
  • If you are driving on the evening of the 31st, remember that excited children don't always do as they are expected, so slow down in residential areas and take extra care.

Take care and have a very Happy Halloween!
