Spondon's fun annual fundraiser, the Spondon Three-Legged Race, returns this year on Easter Sunday, 5th April.
The race sees contestants racing around the village, calling in at local pubs for a free half pint drink in each en route to the finish line at Spondon Cricket Club. The event starts from the Prince of Wales pub at 1.30pm in the afternoon.
Entry fee is £2.50 per person with the winners being presented with a gallon of ale. There will also be a charity raffle at the cricket club. All proceeds from the event will go to Spondon's Borrow Wood Primary School. Sign up sheets and sponsor forms are available form the participating pubs and clubs - Prince of Wales, Spondon Liberal Club, White Swan, the Village Club, Vernon Arms and Spondon Cricket Club.
