Local policing priorities for the coming months

Over the next three months, your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be concentrating on the following three policing priorities which have been set by residents at July's Neighbourhood Forum Meeting: Auto Crime, Burglary Offences and Anti-Social Behaviour on Hobson Drive.

Auto crime: we have seen an increase in vehicles being left insecure overnight and valuables items such as laptop, wallets and Sat Navs also being left visible inside.

Burgulary offences: include shed and garage breaks and often see items such as pedal cycles, tools and gardening equipment taken. We have been carrying out bike etching events, with the next one planned for Saturday 16th August 10-4pm Cyclo Monster, Derby Road, Spondon. We also offer other bike etching products and smart water.

Anti-Social Behaviour on Hobson Drive: This is our newest priority, set in response to an increase in calls to the area and involves large groups gathering, some underage drinking and causing damage to the park area. To try and tackle this issue we have increase patrols to the area, and confiscated any alcohol seen by officers.

If you would like further information on any of these issues or wish to speak to a member of the team, please contact us on the non-emergency number, 101.
