Well, the weather gods didn’t quite come up with the goods, but Spondon certainly did!
Spondon Day showed off just what an amazing village we have. So many people came out, and all the shops and businesses were open, showing that the range we have are as good as anywhere, and better than most!
I do hope everyone enjoyed the day and the extra events that were all around. Wasn’t it great to see a Punch and Judy show again? Seeing the enthralled faces on the kids (of all ages!!) was something special.
We are, however, really sorry that plans for the Bouncy Castle and shows behind the Village Hall didn’t happen, but there were unsurmountable problems with the Park Department which sadly prevented plans for this area.
The Village Rejuvenation Team, who organised the day, would love to hear from anyone that has any ideas on how the make Spondon Village even better, and wants to work with us to make it happen.
