A popular craft fayre showcasing local makers and artists will return to Spondon Village Hall this Autumn.
Following the success of the first Spondon Spring Craft Fayre back in March, the Autumn Fayre is aiming to once again bring together a variety of makers and crafters from around Spondon.
The Fayre is being held in Spondon Village Hall on Saturday 15th October and will host around 20 stall holders, all from the local area, each selling different ranges of unique handcrafted items.
The stalls will include glass-painted items, hand-poured scented candles, handcrafted hair accessories, crochet gifts, beaded jewellery and more. Others will be selling hand-drawn sketches and prints, handmade greeting cards, original artwork and even locally-distilled artisan gins. Local bakery, Pat A Cake, will be hosting a pop-up cake stall and there will be a raffle too.
Proceeds from the stall fees and raffle will all go to supporting Castlefields Dog Rescue Centre in West Hallam to help stray dogs find their 'furrever' homes. Castlefields will also have a stall on the day where you can find out more about their work and also donate blankets, dog toys, food and any other items to support the centre.
The event is again being organised by young local crafter, Minx Made. The 17-year-old's first fayre back in March attracted huge numbers of visitors on the day and was a brilliant showcase of the work of local crafters which may otherwise often go unseen.
The event will run from 9am until 12 Noon on 15th October March and entry is free. (Stalls are all fully booked already).
