One of the current policing priorities for the Spondon Safer Neighbourhood Team is auto crime as Spondon suffers from its share of vehicle theft and theft of items from inside vehicles.
To reduce the risk of becoming a victim of auto crime, there are a few simple measures you can take:
- Lock your vehicle and ensure all windows are closed.
- Remove any valuable items from display, ideally taking everything into your property.
- Remove any marks left on your windscreen by a satellite navigation system
- Where possible park your vehicle near a street light or as near as possible to a residential property.
